RWR Cars Have Great Runs in a Wild One Under the Lights at Daytona

Friday at Daytona: Qualifying and XFinity Race

THOMASVILLE, NC – After a crazy night of racing under the lights at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Rick Ware Racing (RWR) was able to bring all three cars back to the finish line with minimal damage.

Driving the #17 Carport Empire / Dashub Toyota Camry, Jeff Green was able to wheel his way through all of the many multicar accidents that took out many of the top competitors. Happening near or around him, Green was able to react fast enough to avoid hitting any cars sliding across the track throughout the entire night.

Although running in and around the top 10 most of the night, Jeff Green did have some setbacks. During one caution flag, Green’s #17 crew had an uncontrolled tire that led to a second trip down pit road. Green also had setbacks on the track when he was kicked out of the main lines in the draft, sending his car straight to the back of the pack, but the veteran driver was able to work his way back to the front on numerous occasions. Jeff Green was able to bring home a 7th place finish for RWR, the 128th top-10 of his long NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) career.
