Great Lakes marks 100th event for Rick Ware Racing
Saturday, August 1st, 2009Rick Ware Racing strives to be the best on and off the track and on August 1st in Ohio, the organization reached its first 100 events of the year. RWR Events consist of any off track event promoting one or more sponsors either through a show car program or through sampling and information distribution.
“We are pleased to hit this milestone so early in the year. Many organizations do not even have an events schedule and especially for a team our size”, stated owner Rick Ware.
“Our events have stretched from California to Maine and from Michigan to Florida. RWR has been to the MDA telethon, custom car shows, the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Talladega Superspeedway, and many store openings across the country. We have handed out hundreds of thousands of coupons and hero cards and we are just getting warmed up.”
Rick Ware Racing will continue to give back to their sponsors with Championships, television coverage, victories and hospitality at a grass roots level, allowing fans and customers to learn more about the sponsors affiliated with the team.
Cruse rides to 4th place finish in X Games 15
Saturday, August 1st, 2009
Sherri Cruse saw her chance of back-to-back medals in the X Games fall one spot short Saturday night in X Games 15 in Los Angeles. Cruse who struggled out of the gate ran through the field from last to fourth in the final laps of the shortened event.
“Im disappointed but I feel really good about how I rode after turn one. The race was suppose to be 15 minutes in length but a crash in the mens and time constraints for live tv left us only 8 minutes to run our race. With only six laps, you can not afford to miss a step and thats whay I did.”
Cruse was the talk of the pits during the weekend, mainly due to the wicked paint scheme on her Suzuki 250. “The Circle K bike was awesome and we got a ton of great feedback on it. It was a pleasure to run for Circle K and I look forward to winning races for them very soon.”
Cruse and the Circle K team was center stage infront of 125,000 X Games fans and millions that watched the event live on ESPN. Sherri will not place her focus on winning the WMA Championship as she sits in the 3rd position with only a few races to go.
“We are off the PA and with my experience, we look for a strong finish and a chance to close in on Jessica and Ashlee. With a little luck and lots of support, we have a great chance.”
