Latvia and Team Bad Boy place 15th at 2007 Motocross of Nations

img_0988.jpgBad Boy Power Drink teamed up with the Latvian Motorcyclists Federation and finished 15th overall in the 61st Motocross of Nations on September 22 and 23, 2007, at Budds Creek Motocross Park. Riding for Latvia and Team Bad Boy were # 73 Livs Davis in the MX1 division, #74 Ivo Stenbergs in the MX2 division, and # 75 Lauris Freibergs in the MX 3 division.

For Latvia and Team Bad Boy to place 15th overall in the most prestigious motocross event in the world is pretty impressive. The riders rode hard, the bikes ran great and the crew went above and beyond the call of duty. It was an incredible weekend.”

img_1476.jpgThe Motocross of Nations is the premier motocross event sanctioned by the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and features an annual competition among National teams fielded by many of the FIM’s affiliated federations. This was just the second time in its illustrious history that the Motocross of Nations, the world’s longest-running motocross championship was held in the United States. Over 80,000 motocross fans attended the event.

Bad Boy Power Drink Teams Up With MX Rider Heath Voss for X Games 13

11.jpg2004 World Supercross Champion Heath Voss will ride for Bad Boy Power Drink in the Moto X Racing competition at X Games 13 this weekend at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, California. Heath, from Mica, Texas, will ride the #13 Bad Boy Power Drink -CytoMax MasterCraft Honda CRF450R.

Debuting at X Games 13, Moto X Racing will showcase the premier motocross racers in the world. For the first time ever, Moto X Racing will join the other Moto X disciplines Freestyle, Step Up, Best Trick and SuperMoto at the X Games.

Moto X Racing practice is on Friday and Saturday morning, with the competition starting at 5:45pm on Saturday, August 4. Moto X Racing will deviate from traditional motocross by reducing the number of competitors per heat and the number of laps per race. The end result will be more races and more action.

Bad Boy Power Drink Backs Jessica Patterson’s SuperMoto Ride

jess_sm3.jpgBad Boy Power Drink and Rick Ware Racing announced today that Jessica Patterson will compete this weekend on the first SuperMoto bike built by RWR. Jessica, current points leader in the AMA / WMA Women’s National Motocross Championship, will ride the #250 in the Men’s Pro National Day Event in the SuperMoto class at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ on Sunday, June 3rd.

Rick Ware said, “We’d been thinking about building a SuperMoto bike and motor for some time. So when we teamed up with Bad Boy Power Drink and signed Jessica Patterson, it was a no brainer. Who better to test out our first SuperMoto bike than one of the best riders in the world, Jessica Patterson. Not one of the best female riders, one of the best riders, period.” This Sunday will be the first of 6 SuperMoto events that Jessica will compete in this season. Jessica will also ride in the AMA SuperMoto Championship for Bad Boy Power Drink, Rick Ware Racing, American Honda and Honda of Houston on July 8th in Detroit, MI, August 18th in Hartford, CT, September 2nd in Nashville, TN, September 15th in Seattle, WA and in the closing round on November 11th in Long Beach, CA.


Patterson Gets Another WMA Win

Bend, OR - ­ _mg_3186.jpgThe VP Fuels round of the AMA/WMA Women¹s National Motocross Championship presented by Kawasaki was held at Hangtown MX National, Saturday, May 19th. The second stop of the WMA Championship, with the new race day schedule for the WMA, saw Jessica Patterson again going 1-1 on her American Honda/Honda of Houston/Bad Boy Power Drink machine.

The first moto was held at 10:15 am prior to AMA Pro Racing on a fresh Hangtown track. Sarah Whitmore got the holeshot on her Girlyz/Yamaha. Jessica Patterson made an early pass on Whitmore and took control of the moto. Yamaha¹s Tarah Gieger gave chase to Patterson but could not make up time. Geiger crashed and finished 6th in the moto.

Local favorite, Alisa Nix inherited the 2nd position and maintained it to the finish. After a back and forth battle with Team Green Kawasaki Rider Tania Satchwell, Whitmore moved up to 3rd while Kawasaki/MSR rider Elizabeth Bash went by Satchwell for 4th on the last lap after Satchwell crashed.
